Dr. Laura Hills Talks All Things Rotary as Guest on Rotary Times Television Program
Dr. Laura Hills discussed the Rotary Club of Fairfax and her own experiences as a Rotarian, club president, and business woman on Rotary Times, a Northern Virginia cable television program.
September 25, 2012:
Rotary International’s motto, Service above Self, informs a great deal of the work we do at Blue Pencil Institute every day. That’s what Blue Pencil Institute president Dr. Laura Hills told hosts Michael McCormack and Suyong Min during her recent appearance on Rotary Times, a long-running cable television program produced by the Rotary Club of Falls Church, Virginia.
Dr. Hills, who is also the 2012-2013 president of The Rotary Club of Fairfax, explained that she became a Rotarian because service is one of her core values. She said that she often writes and coaches Blue Pencil Institute clients about work/life balance, and that for her, service is part of a well-balanced life. Dr. Hills also told McCormack and Min that she has applied Rotary’s Four Way Test to her everyday business decisions. She also talked extensively about the activities of the Rotary Club of Fairfax, including its many service projects.
