But what exactly does confidentiality mean? How can a career professional keep from breaking a confidence unintentionally? And what exactly does a career professional need to do to keep information confidential? Certainly, confidentiality begins with a sensitive career professional who doesn’t gossip and doesn’t share sensitive information with the wrong people. But guarding confidentiality and privacy is a bit more complex than that. This program suggests 25 of the more subtle points of confidentiality and privacy for career professionals. You may wish to include these guidelines in your personnel manual and/or share them with your direct reports.
