PRC 115: UNDERSTANDING CONFIDENTIALITY AND PRIVACY: Every career professional knows that personal information about clients and other proprietary information is confidential. But what exactly does confidentiality mean? How can a career professional keep from breaking a confidence unintentionally? And what exactly does a career professional need to do to keep information confidential? Certainly, confidentiality begins with a sensitive career professional who doesn’t gossip and doesn’t share sensitive information with the wrong people. But guarding confidentiality and privacy is a bit more complex than that. This program suggests 25 of the more subtle points of confidentiality and privacy for career professionals.
